Léopold Escande Prices 2023

Doctoral training is a high priority for Toulouse INP, which is the second largest institution in Toulouse, in terms of the number of theses defended.
In 2023, 22 doctoral students were rewarded for the scientific excellence of their work and the originality for the topic of their thesis. Léopold Escande price also takes into account the scientific quality, the international influence, interdisciplinarity aspect of the work, and the level of participation in training and development activities.
Our PhDs have acquired a very high level of expertise that they will be able to make good use in their future careers in the academic or industrial world.
This year is a bit special as the award format will change next year. Since January 2024, Toulouse INP has been co-accredited with Toulouse University for a joint doctoral programme, alongside Toulouse III-Paul Sabatier university, Toulouse-Jean Jaurès university, INSA Toulouse and Toulouse INP. This partnership helps to spread the reputation of our Toulouse site as well as boost the national and international impact of its researchers.
