Summer School French as a Foreign LanguageFrom august to september
The French as a Foreign Language Summer School is co-organized by Toulouse INP and INSA Toulouse under the Toulouse Tech umbrella.
It is aimed at international students wishing to enroll in an engineering program in France.
Also open to doctoral and post-doctoral students who would like to learn French or improve their French proficiency.
The objective of this intensive course is to strengthen communication skills in French and to allow students to familiarize themselves with French academic methodology and scientific French in order to facilitate their integration as future engineering students in France.

Presentation of French as a Foreign Language
The FLE (French as a Foreign Language) Summer School is co-organised by Toulouse INP, INSA Toulouse and ENAC under the banner of Toulouse Tech.
The aim of this immersion course is to reinforce your communication in French and improve your understanding of scientific and technical courses, and practical work in French. The teaching of French is based on interactive teaching approaches and various non-specialised and scientific materials (improving reading, writing and speaking skills in French - specialist lectures).
The Summer School will conclude with an exam on a specific scientific and technical topic.
The Summer School includes several cultural and industrial visits to discover Toulouse and the region.
Arrival and visits
Arrival in France
The Summer School FLE teaching teams will welcome you to the engineering schools in Toulouse to facilitate your integration into the various engineering courses.
The University of Toulouse Welcome Desk team will be there to welcome you at Toulouse-Blagnac Airport or Matabiau train station (Marengo-SNCF). The team will guide you with all your personal and administrative procedures and will accompany you to your university accommodation.
Discovery of Toulouse City
During your stay, many cultural and industrial activities will be organized to allow you to practice your French while discovering the city of Toulouse:
- Rugby and Football Matches
- Visit the cities of Albi and Carcassonne
Program
Intensive french course
66 hours of FLE (French as a foreign language) lessons over 3 weeks (22 hours per week) :
12 hours of French communication classes every morning iorganized by levels
10 hours of French for Specific Objectives (engineering, science) every afternoon except for beginners who only have French communication classes
Cultural activities and visits
Discovering Toulouse (treasure hunt and boat ride on the Garonne)
Airbus site visit and a trip to the Aeroscopia Museum
Cultural outings, games, exhibition visits, museums, cinema, picnic... and more
